Kyle Thomas

Kyle Thomas recently moved to South Carolina post graduation from CU Boulder with a degree in marketing and graphic design. He is the middle child of 3 and a proud navy brat. Kyle loves his dog Lincoln, snowboarding, skating, and surfing. He’s excited to explore the Charleston area and eat some good BBQ!

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I am the middle child of three. My brother is following in my father’s footsteps and will be flying jets in about a year as a naval aviator. My father has been in the navy for 36 years. And my sister is a junior at the University of Oregon.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I am currently working as the marketing director for the Chris Facello Group within Carolina One Real Estate. I love how creative my job is and the amazing community that this team has created.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Cod Father and Rodney Scotts BBQ

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
Two months at the end of September

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I would travel to the Swiss alps because I want to snowboard the Matterhorn.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Game of Thrones, Vikings, Breaking Bad, The Boys, Band of Brothers, etc.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
My advice is to be grateful for friends and family everyday. The unconditional love you receive from your family is so special and should not go unnoticed or taken for granted. A grateful person is a happy person.

Q: What is your go to band when you cant decide what to listen to?
Red Hot Chili Peppers

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
New Realm Brewing Company and Orlando’s Pizza

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
I would have to choose Tom Hanks because he seems like a genuine person, and I think he would have some good advice for a younger person fresh out of college. I would take him to the Cod Father and get him some delicious fish and chips.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
The sense of community in the Charleston area is amazing. It is a very tight knit community and the southern hospitality is very true.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
As long as I am alive and healthy, I will be happy.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I am kind of an open book; I don’t really keep any secrets from friends and family especially.

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
The Cinque Terre in Italy
