Rebecca “Bec” Maddox

Rebecca Maddox, better known to friends and strangers alike as Bec, was born and raised in Charleston, SC, which means she gets bragging rights to seeing snow in the lowcountry (multiple times!) and lived through Hugo. Bec has wanted to be a wife, mom, nurse, and model as long as she could remember, and it literally all came true! She attributes all of her accomplishments to God who has blessed her with these opportunities. Check her out on Instagram at @notyourbasicbec !

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I am a wife of 16 years and a mom of two amazing girls.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I graduated from Charleston Southern University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a minor in psychology. Now, I am a school nurse as well as a commercial and editorial model. I dabbled in modeling as a child and always knew I had a passion for it, but it wasn’t until recently that I started it up again professionally.  I love being able to help young children and keep them healthy while they get a great, Christian education. But I also love the creativity and the diversity of the work I do while modeling. It is so exciting to advertise for local Charleston businesses and to be able to do national advertising as well. I am blessed to participate in two totally different careers at the same time that fulfill totally different passions of mine.

She is a fellow believer, wife and mom, entrepreneur with a fashion line, and is in the entertainment industry. I mean, who didn’t grow up watching Full House and Hallmark movies? And now my girls love watching her on Fuller House! I would take her to Angel Oak Restaurant.
