Meg McCue-Jones

Meg McCue-Jones has been in the Lowcountry for 15 years and LOVES it here. During the day, Meg works with apes and otters at the International Primate Protection League. In the evenings, she coaches soccer at SURF in the North Area. A mom of one with a family of three, Meg enjoys time with her family, at the beach, and traveling. If she can mix all three, it’s a done deal!

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
We are a huge soccer family. Both my husband and I played in college, and we met reffing a game together. Now, we’re passing on the passion to our three year old.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
If we were wealthy to the point we didn’t have to work, I would be volunteering my time to the two non-profits I work for. I enjoy the animals I work with, having a background in the vet tech/animal science world. As for soccer, I started playing in middle school and never looked back. I have been coaching for almost 18 years, certified referee since 1998, and still playing as much as I can.
